
CrossFit Games 2021 have arrived and many CrossFit Games 2021 competitors are thrilled. Along with the usual CrossFit Games competitions like those for men, there will also be events for women. Women's competition
The 2021 Crossfit Games' women's competition started this morning with the swim race. Jonne and Tia Claire Toomey-Orr won the first competition. Koski was the overall winner after keeping her lead throughout the competition. Tall and Eramoo O'Connell came in second and third, respectively. It was the first Games women's event and the women hoped to complete it.
The women's contest is filled with high-level athletes. The field includes nine athletes, including a 19-year-old powerhouse who won the competition in Australia last year. Other contenders are Australian athlete Kara Saunders, who finished second in Australia and eleventh worldwide in 2020. Andrea Nisler, a rising star who competed for the team division in 2018, finished third in America and fifteenth overall in 2020. Aside from these athletes, the Women’s competition will also include a newcomer, Sara Sigmundsdottir, an Icelandan competitor, who won first place at the World Crossfit Games earlier.
Pegboard contest
Pegboard was an original feature at Crossfit Games 2021. It was also added to the Games' Olympic summer program. Toomey-Orr held the record for most Games wins with 30. Sager won Event 11 for men and earned his third win of the Games. There were several ties in the contest, but Toomey-Orr's dominance was not enough to keep him out of the win.

Athletes train for the CrossFit Games by focusing on ten general physical fitness skills: cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, and agility. Pegboard tests the grip strength and coordination of competitors. The competitors compete by holding two wooden stakes between their fingers. After completing the Pegboard, the competition was intense and athletes felt a sense of accomplishment.
Cutting system
CrossFit Games uses a cutting system to judge individual competition. While it's not as extreme or drastic as in previous Games, this year is very different. There are 15 events in the competition, so it is possible that 30 athletes will be cut after the eighth or seventh event. CrossFit's decision on how to adjust the points distributed after cuts remains a question. The scoring table used to determine the winners in the 2019 games was very similar to the one used to determine the losers in 2021. This is why it's most likely that the current system will be used.
This year's CrossFit Games team includes 236 competitors, making it the largest ever. Major cuts are made in the first six events. The field is then reduced to 75 athletes. The top thirty athletes then compete in a sprint team to determine the top 10. The top 20 athletes will then compete in the six remaining events. Castro's system was criticised by veteran Games participants, who felt that the cuts were too significant.
Equipment from Reebok
Reebok announces new CrossFit Games clothing, shoes and other equipment. The Nano X1 shoes are the new model. They're made to fit multiple fitness needs. Although Reebok calls this shoe "the shoe for fitness", it feels more like a training shoe. DuPont's Kevlar fabric is used for the upper, which promotes breathability and durability. The shoe's responsiveness can be enhanced by its firm midsole and RopePro Tech.

CrossFit's sponsorship contract with Reebok is ending at the end of 2020. There will not be a title sponsor for the Games. Reebok has sponsored the Games for more than a decade. It is now evident that their involvement in the Games will decrease. Reebok won’t pay for the Games’ prize, but they will continue to make all athletic apparel, equipment, and gear worn by athletes. However, the company will no longer refer to itself as the "Reebok CrossFit Games" as it does now.
